What’s done is done

October 30, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Live and let live.

No use crying over spilt milk.

What’s done is done.

If Life hands you lemons, make lemonade out of them.

If God closes a door, He will leave a window open.

These are a few phrases i.e. proverbs and idioms that I use on myself when things do not go my way, on top of a few more. And today is one of those days. It has something to do with my History presentation.

What a sad life I lead.

I guess that explains why I will like to have my own (imagination) circus so that those who are equally sad and unhappy will watch my circus show and go home happy, cheery and optimistic people. Is this too big an ambition?

Yes, I should be an entertainer, join the Theatre department. So, what am I doing in Music??? The truth is, I simply cannot do Stand Up Comedy for nuts. Really.

Other phrases: when I am irritated with or by someone…

Karma. What goes around comes around.

Do to others what you would want others to do to you.

When I am panicking because of some event, I will always use this…

I’ll cross the bridge when I get to it.

EvilNari has a list of her own phrases, too, but it should not be posted here at all. Anyway, thank goodness she is off elsewhere “crying” in a corner but not here by my side hammering me to let her post her favourites.

Right. I am finally done with composing. More or less ready for Thursday’s little class performance. Just got to print my piece out for my performers before heading to school. I hope I will remember.

So, what is left for this week and the next?

Thursday, Composition class performance and portfolio due.

Monday, Concert Attendance portfolio due.

Wednesday, School Opera Project due.

That is about it, I guess. If it is not, oh well…

Toodles!

Of Sunshine and Lightning

October 28, 2007 · Leave a Comment

3.26a.m. The greatest lightning I had ever seen struck near my house. Maybe it was because it struck really near by that is why I consider it the greatest so far. Scary.

I will be having my second last piano lesson with Ms Lim for this semester in 3 and 1/2 hours. I have only about 3 hours to sleep. Feeling lethargic. Weird.

History presentation is tomorrow, after it had been delayed by a week due to lecturer’s order. Darn. Presentation slides are 99% done. I hope she will like it. Composers’ Resumes have not even been started on. Die.

Composition is slowly going down the drain. Why must he want to have a little performance thingy??? 2 out of 3 of my musicians may not be free at that timeslot, the same goes for many others. And we are not allowed to change the timings. Damn. This is so not going to be good. Whatever. Do what I can. Sigh…

26 Oct. NAFA Sports Day was full of SUN, SAND & SEA, especially SUN. Lots of it. I did not participate in this year’s Telematch games, so I stayed in the shade with Char to watch Juls and the others play and to cheer them on. [Poor Baka Neko was down with a fever, thus, she did not attend. But she was so loving to pass some of her lovely germs to me the day before... -.- *cough, cough*] I was perspiring buckets in that tent. It was a really HOT day. Terrible. Well, it definitely is better than having rain. Blah.

16th Oct 2007

October 17, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Yesterday, the 16th, was a good day.

My dog is HOME!!!

Yippee!!!

:D

Mum called up the SPCA in the morning to check if the girl was there. And she was. Or rather, the description of her matches the beagle they had there. So, Mum and Dad drove there to find out and there she was! Thank God!

God loves me. I love Him too. :)

Cheerio!

I Miss Her

October 8, 2007 · Leave a Comment

There is a sickness within my heart. No matter how funny the anime I watched is, I would not be able to laugh happily and as care-free as I used to do so.

Everybody at home misses her, even Mum, especially now that the floor is so clean without a single tuff of dog’s hair or the clicking of claws against the marble floor as she used to run in and out.

Today is the third day since she went missing.

Oh God, please watch over her and bring her home safely. Soon. Amen.

Parent? Friend?

October 4, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Can someone explain to me why a parent cannot be a friend to his/her own child, especially in this present day and age???

Unless that parent happens to be a very traditional person.

But it is weird.

We laugh, we crack and share (very lame) jokes, we have serious discussions, and of course, we fight. Who does not? Which friendship does not involve some amount of fighting?

It is totally weird.
