Mock Exam Up In…

February 26, 2008 · Leave a Comment

My mock practical exam is in 20 minutes’ time and I am awfully tired; my eyes shutting. How am I going to keep awake for 10 minutes? How??? Another thing is, I have yet to panic. I wonder why… Maybe it is because I am more sleepy than anxious. As Ms Lim said just now after my lesson with her, “Don’t need to panic. They just want to check whether you have been practising.” OK…

I think I shall go down to the fifth floor now and wait there till 6pm. Wish me luck! *muacks*

P.S: Lots to write about last thursday and friday. Remind me the next time. :P

Tired

February 18, 2008 · Leave a Comment

2 days worth of rehearsing for the HuaYi festival + 2 evenings of the Chingay parade = 4 days of late nights out = tired.

Took photos during the past 4 days. Will put them up soon.

Not-so-new anime to watch. ‘Saiunkoku Monogatari’. Reminds me of ‘12 Kingdoms’ and ‘Genbukaiden’. Time to CrunchyRoll!!! By the way, I am in school now. Have to play Brahms in 15 minutes’ time.

Thought of the day: How do you pronounce ‘router’? Is it rau-ter or route-er???

It has been five days since the CNY celebrations. Not much happenings because we did not do much visiting this year. Hence, my ang-pao money collection is at a low. Oh well… School had started and I am so not looking forward to having lessons on this coming thursday and friday due to certain performances taking place during these evenings. Blah. I will be in need of sleep, especially after saturday’s ‘Live’ participation in the annual Chingay. (Yes, yes… NAFA Chorus is involved with this year’s Parade of Dreams at City Hall, and no, we will not be singing on those floats at all.) I will probably be dozing off while teaching on sunday. Tut, tut… But let’s see what will happen then. Hah!

My birthday is coming up soon in March. The second milestone. Damn. Anyway, here is my wishlist to you-know-who-you-are:

1. Craft stuff – e.g. fancy alphabet stamps and inkpad, craft scissors, etc.

2. CDs – Sarah McLachlan, Alannis Morrisette, Joe Hisaishi, etc.

3. Bag – Authentic Puma bag. *wahahahahahahahaahahahha!!!*

Errrmm… Can not think of what else to include. Lala! ;P Will update this list some time not too late.

Off to sleep now. G’night!

p.s: watch the telly on saturday evening because i’ll be standing in the first row, more to stage left. :D

Chinese New Year a.k.a Spring Festival, Lunar New Year

February 5, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Well, it is now 2 days to the Lunar New Year, or Chinese New Year, or Spring Festival (chun jie) as mainland Chinese like to call it. What can I say about this? Over here in Singapore, CNY is just as big as Christmas because of the majority of Chinese here, not that the other festivals are small in any sense. But to me, it is BIG. Yes, it has to do with the ang paos (simply can not deny this), but it is also the food and the chance to get to meet all of my relatives, especially the little babies… Well, there are only a handful left who are still babies…

However, what I can not wait for is tomorrow evening’s Reunion dinner!!! Yayyy…!!! Steamboat, my kor and his kids! Haha! I made agar-agar this afternoon. 2 layers! It looks alright but I am not too sure of the taste. Hmmm…

I am more or less ready for the CNY, just have to dust my room and the living room some time tomorrow after school.

I shall stop here now because I really do not know what else to say. Oh! My practical mock exam has been pushed a week and a day back to the 26th. Phew… Must PRACTICE!!!

Something interesting in the newpapers recently, if the Chinese calender follows the Solar calender instead of the Lunar calender, CNY will be today. Hmmm…

Right then.

Wishing you all a Wonderful, Peaceful and Propersous Lunar New Year.
